The National Fruit & Vegetable Alliance (NFVA) is a national alliance of public and private partners working collaboratively to increase nationwide access to and demand for all forms of fruits and vegetables for improved public health. The vision of NFVA is that fruits and vegetables comprise half of the food that Americans eat. Read More
National Action Plan

With the release of the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which included a large increase in the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables, the National Fruit and Vegetable Alliance believed a new approach was needed to increase consumption.

Fruit & Vegetable Communications Campaign

Through a public private partnership, the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters® public health initiative was launched in early 2007. It replaced the earlier 5 A Day program in order to reflect increased fruit and vegetable recommendations and to better resonate with consumers, mothers in particular. Read More
